Access requirements: enterprise-only for the MCP-enabled path - Salesforce Hosted MCP Servers require Enterprise Edition or above. Raw REST API access is free on Developer Edition sandboxes; production-tier API pricing/inclusion by edition was not independently confirmed and is marked unknown rather than guessed.

Authentication: OAuth + PKCE via an External Client App (scopes mcp_api, refresh_token); every MCP call runs under the authenticated user's own permissions (CRUD/FLS/sharing rules apply), not a service account. The DX/CLI server instead relies on orgs pre-authorized via `sf org login web`.
